When it came time for my wife and me to find a 1031 Exchange Property, we both knew to whom to turn — Mike Waldrop. Mike proved to be invaluable in giving us sound counsel and guidance as we pursued what can often be a difficult path. Not only did Mike find a buyer for the property we desired to sell, but within a limited window of time he found a very attractive exchange property. Now we are enjoying the benefits of higher cash flow and greater appreciation potential from our recently acquired office building. All thanks to Mike. Our family has very successfully completed a 1031 Exchange Transaction. We could never have accomplished the acquisition of several office properties without Mike Waldrop’s leading contributions to the project. Even these words do not give him the credit he deserves. Mike was instrumental in every phase of the transaction: advising us on choosing an intermediary; finding replacement property candidates under tight market conditions; assisting with framing contract language in concert with our legal team; helping find us a lender, and finally in coordinating and shepherding the entire due diligence process. Since time is of the essence especially in a 1031 transaction, Mike’s proactive participation — keeping the whole process moving — was of critical importance in closing the deal on time.
